However, be aware that new wood may contain volatile substances like formaldehyde. It's best to choose fully treated, odorless solid wood. * Glass Cabinets: Modern and highly transparent, allowing for a full view of the jade's details. Choose tempered glass for higher safety. However, pure glass cabinets have poor moisture resistance and tend to accumulate dust, requiring more frequent cleaning. If you choose a glass cabinet, it's best to pair it with a wooden or metal frame for increased stability and aesthetics.
* Metal Cabinets: Less commonly used for home display, mostly seen in museums or professional exhibition halls. Their sturdiness and anti-theft properties are excellent, but they lack warmth, and metal materials conduct heat quickly, which can affect jade when temperature differences are large.

  • Interior Design: Lighting and Backdrop

* Lighting: This is the soul of displaying jade. I recommend using LED cold light sources with moderate wattage to avoid prolonged exposure to heat that could damage the jade. The light should be soft and even, highlighting the warm texture and internal structure of the jade. Warm-toned lighting can make the jade appear warmer, while cool-toned lighting can emphasize its clarity. You can try installing adjustable spotlights on the top and sides of the cabinet to create different light and shadow effects. Remember to avoid direct sunlight, as UV rays have potential damage to the color and structure of jade.
