“The most significant characteristic of the current market is the increasing scarcity of high-quality resources,” stated Professor Li Ming, Vice President of the Xinjiang Jade Association and a senior jade appraisal expert, in an interview. “As mining difficulties increase and resources gradually deplete, the supply of truly collectible Hetian jade seed materials continues to shrink. This directly leads to an imbalance in supply and demand, thus supporting their firm prices. Especially for those premium pieces with unique skin colors, high oiliness, and no flaws, they are almost 'one-of-a-kind'.”
From an investment perspective, the value preservation and appreciation attributes of Hetian jade seed materials are being re-evaluated by the market. Data shows that over the past five years, the compound annual growth rate for top-tier Hetian jade seed materials has reached approximately 8%, significantly outperforming bank deposit rates and some traditional investment products during the same period. This steady growth has attracted a large influx of capital seeking asset preservation and appreciation.
