Hangzhou, November 18, 2026 – The highly anticipated Xiling Yinshe 2026 Autumn Auction concluded successfully yesterday, with the “Jade Harmony and Golden Sound – Ancient Chinese Jade and Hetian Jade Masterpieces” special sale performing exceptionally well. The total transaction value exceeded RMB 250 million, with a remarkable transaction rate of 92.5%, once again affirming the strong collection demand and investment value of the high-end Hetian jade market.

This auction featured 120 carefully selected Hetian jade lots, covering a wide range of categories from ancient jade to contemporary jade carving masterpieces. Among them, a white jade carved 'Fu Shou Shuang Quan' (Blessings and Longevity) covered box from the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty fetched an astonishing price of RMB 38 million, far exceeding its pre-auction estimate of RMB 25 million, representing a staggering increase of 52%. The jade of this lot is warm and delicate, with exquisite craftsmanship and auspicious symbolism, attracting numerous collectors during the preview. Another highly anticipated contemporary jade carving masterpiece – the 'Auspicious Beasts Presenting Good Fortune' white jade ornament created by Mr. Wang, a national intangible cultural heritage inheritor – ultimately sold for RMB 18.5 million, an increase of 23% from its estimate, demonstrating the immense potential of contemporary jade carving art.

Overall, the average transaction price per lot in this Hetian jade special sale reached RMB 2.083 million, an increase of approximately 15.7% compared to the average transaction price of RMB 1.8 million for similar special sales in the 2025 autumn auction. This data indicates that even amidst global economic uncertainties, the value of top-tier Hetian jade remains strong, even showing a counter-cyclical upward trend. Among them, Xinjiang Hetian seed material raw stones and carved pieces performed particularly well, with several seed material raw stones selling at prices more than 30% higher than their estimates, fully reflecting the market's pursuit of scarce high-quality resources.

Mr. Zhang, head of the Jade Department at Xiling Yinshe Auction Co., Ltd., stated in an interview: “The success of this Hetian jade special sale is primarily due to our strict control over the quality of the lots and precise market positioning. We not only focus on the historical and cultural value of the lots but also pay attention to their jade quality, craftsmanship, and artistry. Secondly, in recent years, with the improvement of the national economy and the enhancement of cultural confidence, more and more collectors are beginning to pay attention to and invest in traditional Chinese cultural and artistic treasures. As the 'national jade,' Hetian jade, with its unique cultural connotation and rarity, has become an ideal investment target.”

Professor Li, a senior jade market analyst, pointed out: “The performance of the Hetian jade special sale at this Xiling Yinshe autumn auction once again validates the '20/80 rule' in the high-end Hetian jade market, where 20% of the masterpieces account for 80% of the market share. There is strong demand for rare Hetian jade masterpieces with superior jade quality, exquisite craftsmanship, and clear provenance. Their prices are resilient and even have a certain premium capacity. In contrast, the price growth of ordinary quality Hetian jade is relatively stable. In the coming years, we expect this trend to continue, and collectors should pay more attention to the quality and scarcity of the lots.”

Looking ahead, as Hetian jade resources become increasingly scarce and collectors' demands for quality continue to rise, the investment value of high-end Hetian jade will become even more prominent. At the same time, masterpieces by contemporary jade carving masters will continue to be sought after by the market, and their artistic value and collection potential should not be underestimated. Xiling Yinshe will continue to delve deeply into this field, providing collectors with more high-quality Hetian jade art treasures.
