【Hong Kong, May 10, 2026】Christie's Hong Kong Spring 2026 auction concluded successfully yesterday, with the highly anticipated 'Magnificent Jewels and Jadeite' sale performing exceptionally well. The high-end jadeite segment continued its strong momentum from recent years, with several rare pieces selling for prices significantly exceeding their estimates, once again affirming its unique position and investment value in the art market.

This spring auction saw a remarkable total transaction value for high-end jadeite reaching HK$285 million, an increase of 18.7% compared to the same period last year. The overall sell-through rate was an impressive 92%, with all lots estimated over HK$10 million successfully sold, demonstrating strong demand and confidence from collectors for top-tier jadeite.

Among the highlight lots, a Qing Dynasty imperial collection 'Imperial Green Jadeite Bead Necklace' fetched an astonishing HK$82 million, far exceeding its estimate of HK$50 million to HK$65 million, becoming the top lot of the sale. The necklace comprises 38 imperial green jadeite beads, each over 12mm in diameter, boasting rich and even color, and fine, translucent texture. It is hailed as one of the finest imperial green jadeite bead necklaces to appear on the market in the past decade. Another piece, a 'White Jade Carved Dragon and Phoenix Bottle', sold for HK$35 million, a 75% increase from its HK$20 million estimate, showcasing the market's pursuit of high-quality white jade masterpieces.
