Beijing, November 18, 2026 – The highly anticipated Beijing Council International 2026 Autumn Art Auction concluded successfully yesterday. As one of the highlights of this auction, the Hetian Jade Pendants special session performed remarkably, with an overall sell-through rate as high as 88.5% and a total transaction volume reaching RMB 125 million, once again affirming the sustained strong demand and investment value of the high-end Hetian jade market.

This autumn auction featured 120 exquisite Hetian jade pendants, covering various categories such as white jade, jasper, and ink jade, all boasting superb craftsmanship and superior jade quality. Among them, a mid-Qing Dynasty white jade seed material pendant named “Auspicious Beasts Presenting Good Fortune,” with its delicate texture, warm luster, and exquisite round carving technique, became the focal point of the entire session. Starting at RMB 8 million, after multiple rounds of intense bidding, it finally hammered at RMB 18.5 million, with a premium rate of 131.25%, setting a new auction record for similar white jade pendants in recent years. Another jasper pendant, “Double Blessings and Longevity,” with its unique dark green hue and full shape, also sold for RMB 6.2 million, an increase of 55% over its estimate.

From the auction data, the high-end Hetian jade market continues to show a steady growth trend. Especially fine pieces with characteristics such as renowned carving, seed material, and rare skin colors, their price increases are particularly significant. According to Mr. Li Ming, head of the marketing department at Council International Auctioneers: “The performance of Hetian jade pendants in this autumn auction exceeded our expectations. This is not only due to the excellent quality of the lots themselves but also reflects the current market’s strong pursuit of Hetian jade collectibles that combine scarcity, artistry, and cultural connotations.”

Professor Zhang Hua, a senior jade market analyst, stated in an interview: “In recent years, with the continuous growth of the national economy and the enhancement of cultural confidence, Hetian jade, as a treasure of traditional Chinese culture, has increasingly highlighted its collection and investment value. Especially high-quality Hetian jade seed material, due to its non-renewable nature, has become a scarce resource. The data from this Council International autumn auction once again proves that the market's value perception of top-tier Hetian jade is maturing, and collectors are more willing to pay a premium for high-quality, high-artistic-standard jade articles. In the next few years, we expect the high-end Hetian jade market to maintain an upward trend, but ordinary quality Hetian jade may face greater market competition pressure.”

The successful holding of this auction has undoubtedly injected new vitality into the Hetian jade market. Industry insiders generally believe that in the context of increasing global economic uncertainty, Hetian jade, as a tangible asset with potential for value preservation and appreciation, its safe-haven attribute and investment value are being recognized by more and more collectors. However, experts also remind that investors entering the Hetian jade market still need to carefully discern, focusing on factors such as jade quality, carving, and cultural connotation, to avoid blind following.

Beijing Council International Auctioneers stated that it will continue to cultivate the Hetian jade market, and through strict selection standards and professional services, provide more high-quality Hetian jade art pieces to collectors, jointly promoting the inheritance and development of Hetian jade culture.
