This respect for the jade material and the capture of natural beauty are irreplaceable by any modern technology.

However, "evolution" is equally important. This "evolution" is reflected in the expansion of themes, innovation in styles, and updating of concepts. In the past, jade carving themes predominantly featured myths and legends, historical figures, and auspicious beasts. Now, we see more jade carving works incorporating elements of modern life, such as creations inspired by urban landscapes, abstract art, and even science fiction themes. I once saw a jade carving that cleverly designed a natural crack in a piece of Hetian jade into an abstract landscape painting; the crack resembled a valley, and the warm luster of the jade transformed into swirling clouds, showcasing a unique Zen aesthetic.
