For example, a jade unearthed from an imperial tomb is naturally more valuable than an ordinary jade circulated among the populace.
* Symbolic Meaning: Chinese jade culture is profound, and many jade pieces carry auspicious meanings, such as dragons and phoenixes bringing prosperity, continuous abundance, or blessings and longevity. These meanings add unique charm and collection value to ancient jade.

Important Considerations:

* Avoid the 'Bargain Hunting' Mentality: The antique market is deep, and overnight riches are often traps. Learning more, examining physical objects, and consulting experts are the best ways to avoid being scammed.
* Beware of 'Story Jades': Many sellers invent touching stories to inflate the value of their jade. Remember, the jade's inherent quality and craftsmanship are the real deal; stories can only add icing to the cake, not be the cake itself.
* Emphasize Provenance: If an ancient jade has clear provenance, a documented history of circulation, or even an appraisal certificate from an authoritative institution, its value will be more stable and more readily accepted by the market.
