Common ones include jujube red skin, sprinkled gold skin, autumn pear skin, etc. Good skin color not only enhances the artistic value of seed material but is also an important sign of authenticity. I personally prefer those with natural color transitions and clear pores, like a piece of white jade seed material with sprinkled gold skin, sparkling in the sun – that feeling is truly wonderful! 😍
2. Oiliness: The oiliness of seed material is its soul. When you handle it, that warm, smooth, and delicate touch, like grease, is incomparable to mountain material and Russian material. 1. 2. Look at the jade structure: The structure of seed material is usually delicate and tightly interwoven. When illuminated with a strong flashlight, you can see the fibrous interwoven structure inside the jade, commonly known as 'glutinousness'. Good seed material has strong glutinousness, and light passing through it will appear very soft, without a grainy feel. The structure of mountain material or Russian material often appears rough or overly uniform.
3. Feel the hand feel and oiliness: Seed material will have a unique 'heavy feel' when held, due to its high density. At the same time, its oiliness penetrates into the jade quality and will become more oily after playing. You can gently scratch the skin color with your fingernail; genuine skin won't scratch off, while fake skin might fade or leave marks.

A piece of white jade seed material with delicate jade quality and full oiliness, even without brilliant skin color, is far more valuable than material with good skin color but rough jade quality.
