  • Assess Value and Choose Appropriate Coverage: This is the first and most critical step. Jade valuation requires professional institutions or appraisers; avoid subjective assumptions. After valuation, you need to choose suitable insurance products based on the total value of your collection and your own needs. Common options on the market include 'art comprehensive insurance' or additional clauses in 'home contents insurance.' Personally, I recommend specialized art insurance for high-value jade, as it typically covers various risks such as theft, fire, flood, and accidental damage, with higher compensation limits.


  • Detailed Records and Evidence Retention: Before purchasing insurance, be sure to keep detailed records of each jade piece, including high-resolution photos (multiple angles), appraisal certificates, purchase receipts, dimensions, weight, and descriptive features.
