* Features: Fine and oily texture, partially with golden russet skin, natural pores and fine pores, no obvious cracks.

🚀 AI Appraisal Process Revealed:

  • Information Entry: First, staff meticulously record the basic information of the jade, including weight, dimensions, color, and form. This highlights the 'standardization' advantage of AI, as all data is required to be precise to two decimal places. 📝

  • Multi-spectral Imaging: Next is the highlight! My jade was placed in a special detection chamber for multi-spectral scanning. It's said that this process collects reflection, absorption, and transmission data of the jade at different wavelengths, including UV, visible light, and infrared. Sounds very advanced, doesn't it! 🔬

  • Data Analysis and Comparison: The massive amount of collected data is then transmitted to the AI system for analysis. The system compares it with a vast jade database, including the physical and chemical spectral characteristics of various natural jades, B-goods, C-goods, and D-goods (dyed quartzites, glass, and other imitations). The AI report concluded: 'Natural Hetian jade pebble, no signs of artificial optimization treatment found.' This result is completely consistent with my years of experienced judgment! 👏

What surprised me:

* Data Quantification: The report provided very precise numerical values for various physical parameters of the jade, such as a density of 2.95g/cm³ and a refractive index of 1.61-1.62, all of which fall within the standard range for Hetian jade. For us old players who love to delve into data, this undoubtedly adds 'scientific evidence.'
* Detail Capture: The AI system could even identify the distribution characteristics of natural pores on the jade surface through image recognition and compare them with artificial pores in the report. AI appraisal is undoubtedly a significant advancement in the jade industry! It provides us with a fast, objective, and standardized auxiliary appraisal tool, especially for novices, greatly reducing the risk of buying fakes. It can help you 'distinguish the genuine from the fake' and eliminate obvious fakes and treated items.

However, it cannot completely replace manual appraisal, especially in the high-end jade sector. For a truly good piece of jade, its value lies not only in its 'authenticity' but also in its 'beauty' and 'charm.' These require us to appreciate with our eyes and feel with our hearts.

Therefore, my advice is:

  • For Novices: You can use AI appraisal as a preliminary screening tool, but before making a final purchase, it's best to consult an experienced expert. 👀
